Fabian Stumm is an actor, writer and director. He studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York before working internationally in theatre, film, and television. His directorial debut BONES AND NAMES premiered at the Berlinale 2023 and won the Heiner Carow Prize. His second feature SAD JOKES received the New Director Award and the FIPRESCI Prize at the Munich Film Festival before screening at the Toronto International Film Festival and New Directors/New Films in New York. In 2025, Fabian Stumm won the German Film Critics Award for Best Actor for his performance in SAD JOKES.
